Start with the surface
Choose a size for where it will live
Measure the usable width and height, then test a paper outline on the real object before ordering.
Packaging
Try 1 × 1 or 2 × 1 for small seals, 2 × 2 for a compact brand mark, and 3 × 2 when the name needs more room.
Laptops
Use 2 × 2 for a small accent, 3 × 3 for an easy-to-see logo, or 4 × 4 and 5 × 3 for a statement piece.
Bottles
Check the flat or gently curved area first. A 2 × 1, 2 × 2, or 3 × 2 outline is a useful starting point for many bottles.
Markets
Balance portability and visibility: smaller sizes work on product bags, while 3 × 3 and 4 × 3 are easy handouts at a booth.
Events
Try 3 × 3 for giveaways, 4 × 4 for bold logos, or 5 × 2 and 5 × 3 when the design is wide and needs distance visibility.

Sticker sizing questions
Common questions about sticker sizes
What size sticker should I get?
If you are not sure, go with 3 × 3 in (76.2 × 76.2 mm). It is big enough to read from across a room and still fits a laptop, a water bottle, or a notebook. Drop to 2 × 2 in for packaging. Go up to 4 × 4 in if your design has small details.
How do you measure a sticker?
We measure the finished sticker edge to edge: its widest point and its tallest point, including any border around the design. So a 3 × 3 in sticker fits inside a 3 × 3 in square, even when the shape is irregular.
What size sticker fits a water bottle?
Measure the flat part of the bottle, not the whole way around. On most bottles a 2 × 1 in, 2 × 2 in, or 3 × 2 in sticker sits flat. Bigger ones tend to wrinkle on a tight curve.
What size sticker is best for a laptop?
2 × 2 in for a small accent. 3 × 3 in for a single logo. 4 × 4 in or 5 × 3 in if you want it to stand out. Check the gap between the edge of the lid and the maker's logo first.
What sticker shapes can I order?

Can I order a custom sticker size?
Yes. Pick your finished size in the builder on the Die Cut Stickers page and upload your artwork. If the size you want is not there, send us a message with the measurements and we will quote it.
How do I print this guide at actual size?
Open the PDF and choose Actual size or 100% in the print box. Turn off Fit to page and shrink-to-fit. Then measure the check mark on the sheet. It has to be exactly 1 in / 25.4 mm.
Do you use inches or millimetres?
Both. Every size in the table above is listed in inches and in millimetres. One inch is 25.4 mm. Order in whichever one you measured with.
Does my file have to match the sticker size?
No. Send the biggest, sharpest version you have and we scale it to the size you order. We take care of the cut line, bleed, and spacing, and you see the result on your proof before we print.
