For bottles and jars, measure the straight-sided label area, away from shoulders and curved bases. Wrap a strip of paper around the container to check the width and leave the seam or gap you want. A wraparound label needs both the container circumference and the usable label height; do not choose a size from container volume alone.
For dry product boxes and bags, paper is a useful starting point. For a refrigerated bottle or a package exposed to splashes, discuss the container surface, condensation and handling with us before selecting a film material. The container and its conditions matter as much as the label design.
For clear jars, a clear label can leave the contents visible; use a white layer behind artwork that needs opacity. For a metallic look, compare gold and silver foil rolls and identify which areas should show the base material. Include these instructions with your artwork so the proof can show the intended treatment.
For hand application, choose the material and finished size first. For an applicator, confirm core size, maximum roll diameter, liner width, label gap and unwind direction against the equipment requirements before production. Do not assume every roll fits every machine.

Are custom roll labels the same as sticker rolls?
Usually, yes. Sticker rolls and label rolls are common names for custom roll labels supplied on a continuous liner. The best material depends on the package, moisture, handling and application method. Choose the available shape and size in the builder and upload your artwork. We prepare the cut line for your proof. If an applicator will apply the labels, confirm its label-gap, liner-width and unwind requirements before production. A custom outline must work with both your design and your application method.
Do I need to choose an orientation for hand application?
Orientation is less restrictive when labels are applied by hand, but a consistent direction can still make packing faster. We can prepare a practical orientation and show it on the proof.
Can roll labels work with my label applicator?

What is a white layer on a roll label?
